Our Client packages and distributes Branded pharmaceuticals, OTC medicines and next-generation vaccine products throughout the world. Operating on behalf of three major brand names, the manufacturing output extends to 300 product lines at their 26 acre, state of the art manufacturing facility in Hampshire. They have the immediate requirement for an Administrator to provide administrative support to the European Research and Development (ER&D) facility on site. Candidates should have a scientific educational background plus experience having worked in an administrative capacity with excellent PC skills. 6 month temporary contract followed by review.
Job Purpose:
To provide secretarial and administrative support for the development and registration of new products and line extensions from appropriate R&D programmes within the ER&D group to extend, protect and enhance the businesses. The job holder works closely with other members of the ER&D Group in order to maximise the exploitation of products in accordance with overall business aims. Working closely with the Senior Administrator, the job holder works in an efficient manner and, where appropriate, which is consistent with the current requirements of Regulatory Authorities, GLP, GMP, GCP and relevant Health & Safety regulations. The job holder is personally responsible for certain specific areas which include the travel arrangements, financial administration of AHT's, DFAs, expenses etc., and archiving of data, non-project filing for managers etc as agreed with the Senior Administrator and the Director Reg. Affairs. The job holder also provides cover for the responsibilities of other administrative staff in their absence. The job holder is an important administrative interface between the ER&D Group and other departments, especially finance departments and library / scientific information services. The job holder maintains and develops contacts with external centres of expertise providing administrative support to the ER&D group, especially in travel and archiving to ensure the effective provision of these services to the ER&D Group. Through the efficient, timely and accurate execution of secretarial and administrative activities within the ER&D Group, the job holder assists the regulatory and scientific personnel in the implementation of development and support programmes to meet the strategic aims of the business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational background in Science (minimum Science A-Level or equivalent, ideally graduate level) Good oral and written communication skills Highly PC literate. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
