Intermediate level CDM Co-ordinator/Health and Safety – Birmingham
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 + excellent benefits
This global consultancy with over 120 years experience in the building and construction industry are currently looking to expand their health and safety teams within the UK and are seeking an intermediate level CDM Co-ordinator/Assistant CDM Co-ordinator in the Birmingham area to work within the CDM/health and safety team.
This role will suit an ambitious Assistant CDM Co-ordinator looking to make the next step in their career. You will be involved with a wide range of multi-million construction projects including those within the Health, Education, Commercial, Industrial, Leisure, Rail and Power sectors in and around Birmingham – working for spectrum of Blue–chip clients and Designers, handling projects from early pre-contract stages to construction on site. You will have sound knowledge of the CDM co-ordinator duties and responsibilities.
Some key aspects to this role include:
Health and Safety policy and procedures, COSHH Assessments, Workplace safety audits, Fire risk assessments and general CDM Co-ordinator responsibilities.
The right person for this role will have:
•Experience as a CDM co-ordinator within a consultancy environment – you must be client facing and able to carry out the role of CDM co-ordinator alongside some Health and Safety consultancy projects. •Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage CDM regulation information both internally and externally. •Maintain and build relationships with a variety of Clients. •Able to interpret design briefs and identify, collate and present information which defines project risks. •Competent to evaluate construction plans against project requirements. •Co-ordinate design information during construction phases. •Produce and maintain user friendly health and safety files. •Detailed knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2007 and proposed forthcoming changes and how they are implemented in the CDM co-ordinator role.
