Candidates must be able to assess the functional needs of disabled people in their own homes and in other appropriate environments and make arrangements for appropriate services and intervention and the provision of advice and information. Enhance the independence, safety and quality of life of the disabled person and their carers. Accountable to line manager for the quality of own work in undertaking assessment and arranging subsequent services to disabled people of all ages. Ensure that all work complies with Council policies and procedures and that its statutory obligations are met. Following appropriate length and experience of service to be accountable to line manager for the supervision of, and allocation of work to, assistants and support staff.BScOT/Dip. COT State registered OT Ability to assess disabled people, analyse problems Interview and suggest appropriate options to assist. Knowledge of services within health and social care and the links between these Ability to keep accurate written records Clear verbal and written skills
